Kurt was diagnosed with incurable gallbladder cancer after 2 weeks of being mildly under the weather.
He immediately was unable to return to work, requiring me to step in and navigate the continuing operations of our store. I was overwhelmed with grief, not to mention the all consuming responsibility of caring for my dying husband.
The added burden of making sure the business continued to operate in his absence was untenable. I was ill equipped and I knew it.
Thank God for faithful employees stepping up to help and thank God for our dear friend, Aaron Hovivian and his Collab Team.
In the short 7 weeks from diagnosis until my husband's passing, and continuing for a full year afterwards, Aaron and his highly skilled team came forward to offer me their trusted support as well as their excellence and experience in business operations management.
Aaron confidently stepped into middle of a life defining crisis, offering every tool at his disposal to steady our ship and provide an anchor to tie onto in the midst of this life storm. I knew he and his team were with me for the long haul, as long as it took for me to confidently move forward on my own.
Aaron firmly stood by me and our business walking me through what was necessary to remain afloat and looked ahead, anticipating needs that I could not foresee. I found great relief in the fact that there was an excellent team surrounding me that I and my crew could lean on for compassionate support, business operations know how, and clear, thoughtful communication between parties and within teams.
I quickly discovered Aaron's knack for translating complex business operations into simple, achievable steps to follow to get me and my crew to where we needed to go. He gently encouraged us to step forward into unfamiliar territory, coaxing out potential he could see in us that we did not yet recognize.
Who knew I could run my own business?
Aaron assigned one of his team members to lead out on a long overdue install and training on an up to date POS system. In Aaron's analysis of our business practices he realized streamlining our operations was vital to my moving forward in the business, regardless of whether I continued to run the store or decided to sell. The streamlining process allowed me to knowledgeably look at all aspects of my business from an informed perspective and tweek it where needed.
I would love to talk with you more about my experience in transitioning into a decision making seat in my business, how the Collab Team helped me and how potentially they could do the same for you.
